South Manchester — Withington, Didsbury, Fallowfield, Chorlton — is streets of late-Victorian terraces and semis, and what sets them apart from a Yorkshire terrace is the bay. The city council's appraisal of Withington describes the 1879 Tatton View terrace by its "bay windows, decorative details, stone finishes and tall paired chimneys", and the Heaton Road terrace by its "uniform pattern of full height bays" — a bay that runs through both floors, so the front bedroom has one as well as the front room. A bay is three windows meeting at angles, and each face is its own width.

My front room has a bay. Is that one blind or three?
Three, one per face, each cut to its own width — or a shaped track if you want verticals that draw as one. In a Withington or Didsbury terrace the bay often runs through both floors, so the bedroom above has the same three faces. We measure all six and quote them as a set.
How much does assembly cost?

How long until I hear back?
We ring you back the same day, and usually a lot sooner during the working day. We'd rather talk it through than email a price and leave you guessing.
Do you charge to fit blinds?
Not if you buy them from us. Fitting is free on anything we supply, and so is the consultation. If you already bought blinds elsewhere we'll fit those too, priced per window. Send the sizes when you book and we'll tell you honestly whether they'll work.
