Is a quote free?
Yes. Quotes are free and there's no obligation to book. If the price isn't right for you, that's the end of it.
How much does assembly cost?
Most jobs land between £20 and £150, depending on size and how many items. A bedside table starts at £20; a large sliding-door wardrobe sits at the top. You get a fixed price before you commit. See the price guide.
How long until I hear back?
We ring you back the same day, and usually a lot sooner during the working day. We'd rather talk it through than email a price and leave you guessing.
What furniture and retailers do you assemble?
Anything flat-pack: wardrobes, beds, bookcases and storage, desks and office furniture, kitchen units, garden furniture and sheds. That includes IKEA, Argos, Wayfair, John Lewis, B&Q, Dunelm and anything else that arrives in a box.
What areas do you cover?
Yorkshire and Greater Manchester. That's Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, York, Hull and everywhere in between. Put your postcode into either form and it'll tell you straight away. See the areas we cover.
What's not covered?
We don't take on electrical work, gas or plumbing. If a job needs any of those you'll want a qualified trade for that part. We'll tell you up front, not on the day.
Do you bring your own tools?
Always. Everything needed comes with us, and the packaging goes away with us too.
Do I need to be home?
Someone needs to let us in and be there at the end to check you're happy. Beyond that, you're welcome to get on with your day.
Do you charge to fit blinds?
Not if you buy them from us. Fitting is free on anything we supply, and so is the consultation. If you already bought blinds elsewhere we'll fit those too, from £25 a blind, motors and side channels included in the quote. Send the sizes when you book and we'll tell you honestly whether they'll work.
Why can't you quote blinds over email like furniture?
A blind is cut to one window. Get the measurement wrong and it can't be resold, so it's scrap. We'd sooner measure it ourselves, for free, and carry that risk. A wardrobe is the same wardrobe in every house, so a photo is enough.
What happens at the consultation?
We come to you with samples, measure the windows, talk through what suits the room, and give you a price before we leave. It's free, there's no obligation, and nothing is ordered until you say so.
How long do blinds take?
Usually one to two weeks from measuring to fitted, because they're made to your sizes after the visit. We'll give you a date at the consultation.
Do you have to drill into my walls?
Usually yes. Most blinds screw into the wall or the window reveal. We check what's behind first and we'll stop if a wall isn't safe. If drilling isn't an option at all, perfect fit blinds clip into the window bead without a single hole, so they're the answer for rented homes too.
Do you take the old blinds away?
Yes, along with all the packaging from the new ones.
